I’d like the post excerpts in my blog’s RSS feed to end at the <–more–> tag in the post rather than after the usual 55 words, unless the <–more–> tag is missing.
I’ve set “For each article in a feed, show: Summary” under Settings -> Reading. But the summary is truncated after 55 words, not at the <–more–> tag.
I’ve tried the Advanced Excerpt plugin, which allows me to vary the word count but still truncates posts based on the word count even when the <–more–> tag exists.
It seems most logical to me that if a <–more–> tag exists, WordPress should use it to define the end of the excerpt. Anyone know how to enable this behavior in the RSS feed?
