    Maybe this could be improved:

I installed the plugin to a LiteSpeed server. As usuall it was installed in WAF mode. When selecting Full WAF mode and letting the plugin do the changes, after a while i get a notice from your plugin that Full WAF is not installed and/or maybe the web server needed to be restarted.

This is not correct, the changes were made ok. But apparently the webserver needs a few seconds to (maybe) restart or reload or something. Because after a simple REFRESH of the page, it shows ok.

So, maybe you could just suggest the users to refresh the page, instead of telling them that something went wrong. And save them from searching without any reason.

    Just a suggestion,

    Thank you !

Maybe it is due to some aggressive caching? I’ll change the message for Litespeed.

I have no idea but i don’t think so. I’m using WP Supercache but not for logged users. Also the shared server has no caching from what i can see.

It seems to just need a few seconds more.

I think a more detailed message will be just fine.

    Thanks !

Hello, I think its related and to a php7.1+ Extension opcache that now is always enabled for faster runtimes.

I see that behavior on my code change that when its enabled it usually wants several minutes to see live the new changes and not just refresh.

    Take care,
    /ChriStef.

@christef It only takes 2-3 seconds, not several minutes.

Yes I assumed that too, but after many tests with my sharing hosting provider support, that using lightspeed its not few secs on my case. I thought I should mention this here…

I have many php errors when updating a plug-in and in case its crucial I have a msg that my blog is experiencing a problem and the usually mail info to my admin email from wp engine. After a while all ok. Not just secs…

So in your case Changing back on/off WAF what do you see? Only one refresh and its ok?

I have a premium but still shared plan (semi-dedi) on Litespeed 7.2, CloudLinux and i know the hosting provider also uses StorePool.

As soon as i enable Full Waf, my .htaccess is updated from the plugin (i see it via ftp) BUT the plugin says that FULL WAF is not active and maybe i need a restart of the webserver. A simple refresh shows all ok.
