# Enabling Author Link

 * Hello,
 * I am trying to include the author link for blog posts. I am able to add an author
   URL on the backend but when it’s updated and published, I do not see a link on
   the front end.

 * What theme are you using for your site? It appears to be a custom theme, correct?
   If so, the best option is to contact the theme creators – if you can.
 * Have you explored the Appearance > Customization options for the current theme?
 * When you enter the URL for the Author link, do you do so in the Edit Post window
   or somewhere else?
 * I’ve examined the code and it does not appear that there is any Author field 
   generated in the blog byline area so it seems like an option that is currently
   disabled.

 * Hi thank you for your reply.
 * Yes, that’s correct it is a custom theme.
 * And yes, when I enter in the URL for the Author Link it is in the Edit Post window.
 * I haven’t explored the other options you proposed yet. But I think that might
   be my next step.
