Enable users to change data in plug-in

Hello everybody

I’m currently evaluating word press as a cms and it looks great so far! Really intuitive and relatively easy to explain to users.

However I have a question about defining the user permissions. I just found the predefined users like author and admin but I can’t seem to define a new role.

Which isn’t a huge problem, more of a problem is the fact that nobody but the admin can change data in plug-ins.

Where can I create/change permission for the plug-ins? Or even better where can I set the rules for a specific plug-in?
