Enable statistic increases page load times

    I love the idea of this plugin but enabling statistics made my site’s load time go from under 3 seconds to over 8.5, is this normal ?

    Hi David,

    how do you measure page load times? Shariff in general including the statistic does not increase the page load time. The share counts are asynchronously requested after the page has been rendered by the browser and therefore displayed to the visitor.

    Hi JP

    I Use GTMetrix (because I can actually see how long each component takes to load) and Pingdom to check the website load times

    However having said the above things have evened out a lot today and although it takes about 1.53 seconds to get the data this is only slowing the load time down by .21 seconds which I can live with
