# Enable shortcodes etc without using options.php?

 * Hi. Great plugin, it works fine, nice support too. I have a problem: when I change
   any of the settings in options.php it says “update successful” but nothing actually
   changes whan I check back. I suspect that this may not be a plugin problem.
    
   So, is there any way to manually change some parameters in other files so as 
   to enable shortcodes, placements and excerpts overriding the options.php?

 * Hi. Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, the only alternative is to manually
   edit ‘wp_options’ table in your WordPress database.
