OK; do you have “aggregate inline JS” on?
and can you share your site’s URL?
Hi,
Yes I tried that. The link is: https://goldenagecheesestore.com/

Impossible for me to assess now I’m afraid, as you have JS optimization turned off. Do you have a non-production site where we could investigate this further?

hi justlinera;
are JS settings the default ones (i.e. “aggregate inline JS” off + exclude js/jquery/jquery.js
+ NOT “force JS in head”)?
kind regards,
frank
if that does not work (and as I’m seeing a “white page of death” when trying to access your non-prod site which usually is a bad sign) try to switch to the legacy minifiers (as per the FAQ) by adding this to your wp-config.php:
define("AUTOPTIMIZE_LEGACY_MINIFIERS","true");
I would also be interested in any error you might find in your php errorlog.
I added the code in the wp-config and that fixed the ‘white page of death’. These where the errors I was getting:
– PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/corpa/domains/corpa-advies.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classes/external/php/minify-2.3.1-jsmin.php on line 295, referer: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/enable-optimize-javascript-will-make-the-website-slow/
– PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0, referer: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/enable-optimize-javascript-will-make-the-website-slow/
– PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/corpa/domains/corpa-advies.nl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classes/external/php/minify-2.3.1-jsmin.php on line 295, referer: http://corpa-advies.bureaufeith1.nl/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=autoptimize
– PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0, referer: http://corpa-advies.bureaufeith1.nl/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=autoptimize
thanks for the confirmation & for the error-info. There’s likely one specific file (which will be one that is not “common”) on which the updated minifier is choking. I’ll see if I can reproduce this using the JS on your site.
