enable email obfuscation

Having mailto on a website has always been a spam magnet, so why is it not included by default to allow email obfuscation ?

While this should be improved as a default setup for less headaches, I wonder if you could inform us about a nifty snippet to enable this site-wide. I searched online but nothing worked for now, and most seem to propose manual ways of doing, while I would prefer code the site in a simple way and then add a global snippet to solve this (until Elementor obfuscates it by default).
