“Enable Customed Biography” doesn’t save under some conditions

    “Enable Customed Biography” doesn’t save if there is a single or double quote in the bio text.

    If there is a quotation mark (‘ or “) in the custom bio text, when the ‘Update User’ button is clicked, all Ultimate Author Box Profile Settings are reset, the
    Profile Image Settings, Company Information, etc., is all lost.

    Verified that this behavior happens with a clean install of WordPress 5.3.2 on php 7.2 and php 7.3.5. Disabled all other plugins.

    With WP error logging enabled, here’s what I’m seeing in my debug.log:

    I think the lines from my error log are unrelated. I bet it has something to do with serializing / unserializing the contents of the text area uab_custom_description

    Same here. I wanted to report that if you write ‘ in the “Custom Biographical Information” – you cannot update the profile.

    Hello I wanted to let you know that I was having the same issue. Whenever we enter in an apostrophe the data erases itself. Any update on fixing this issue?

    Hey there, I bumped into the same issue while configuring an author box for my website.

    I am currently using Version 1.1.1 of the ULTIMATE AUTHOR BOX LITE plugin and have been having trouble with my “Customed Biographical Info” as it was deselecting the checkbox and erasing the written text each time I tried to update my info.

    Luckily, I found this report, and thanks to the OP (@jeremytarpley) I have modified my bio to fit in the standards and avoided the bug by removing any quotations but wanted to let you know that the bug is still present in the version that I use (hoping it is the latest one released)

    Besides the bug, the plugin is pretty awesome and offers you different pre-designed customizable templates giving you the freedom to design your author box in any way you please without having to have an original design idea. I can confidently say that it is one of the best, if not the best author box plugins that I have met so far.

    Thanks for developing such an amazing piece and I hope you resolve the issue soon.
