    Hi guys,

I’m trying to figure out how to enable the inbuilt wordpress auto-save feature and allow auto-drafts to be saved for orders. A client uses the order screen (which includes a bunch of extra custom fields for capturing additional data) in their physical business to capture info during appointments with clients. These appointments can last 15-30 minutes, and if the customer accidentally clicks out of the order screen or there’s a browser problem, everything that’s been entered till that point is lost.

I figured that since an “order” is just a custom post type, there should be a way of enabling the standard autosave and “draft” status fairly easily but I haven’t been able to figure it out.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

I see it was disabled, but don’t know the reasoning behind this.

If you want to experiment with this, I think you need to enqueue script ‘autosave’ for Orders post type (or disable dequeue in WC_Admin_Post_Types::disable_autosave)
