    When a user registers for a free subscription, with the ‘Enable Auto Login After Registration’ box checked on the Settings -> Advanced Settings page and a URL in ‘After Registration Redirect URL’ they are redirected to the Membership Login page with the message:

    You need to activate your account. If you didn’t receive an email then click here to resend the activation email

    .

    The user does get an email stating they have been registered.

    So:
    1) Why are they going to the Membership Login page at all? Shouldn’t they just go into the site to the page I have listed in ‘After Registration Redirect URL’.
    2) Why is that message showing up if email registration is disabled?

    I do have the After Login Redirection addon, would love to delete it. Does not seem to do anything more than redirect to the last page. I would not want them to go there anyway.

    I disabled all plugins except Simple WordPress Membership and it still happens.

    My goal is to have them click a free trial button, register, and go directly to a predefined page. Then, next time they want in they use their credentials.

    Any help would be great.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Here’s the answer:

    In Settings -> Advanced Settings
    1) Check box Enable Auto Login After Registration
    2) Add URL to After Registration Redirect URL
    (this is before the checkbox, really should be after)

    In Settings -> General Settings
    3) Make sure Default Account Status is set to Active
