empty rows in column

Hello! I just began using the plugin for my resume, and when I insert spaces between the rows in the first column which has the years (to accommodate the content to their right) when I save, the left-hand content realigns itself so that there is just uniform space between each row, rather than the layout that I chose with varying spaces between the rows/lines. I hope this problem is clear. Let me know how to solve it please.

PS I prefer this to a table even though I am trying to relate content from column to column, since the right-hand column will have images that do not need to be aligned with the other content. Also I haven’t found a table plugin that works as well as this.
