Empty product .CSV export file

    Hello,

    I want to export some products into a .CSV file.
    But that file is empty…

    I go to: Products -> all products -> Export
    I want to export All columns
    I want to export All products
    I want to Export only the category: Test, so I select that one.
    I click on: Generate CSV
    Open it with Microsoft Excel
    And it is empty. All exports I try are 1 kB and empty.

    The only plugin that is active is: Woocommerce
    The active theme is: Twenty Twenty-Two

    I went back to WooCommerce Version 4.7.0, but this did not make a diverence.
    I do not see any errors in the error logs

    Can you help me fix this?

    Hello,

    Can you please go to WP Dashboard > products > all products.

    Select the category of your preference (let’s say Test), and let me know how many products are visible on your end?

    Also, can you open the file using another program, for example, Google Spreadsheets or LibreOffice? The fact is that MS Excel tends to change the file format.

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  That will help us to take a closer look.

    There are 3 products in category: Test.
    There are 0 products in the .csv file opened in Google Sheets and LibreOffice.

    Thanks for sharing the System Status Report.

    I am not able to replicate the issue on my test site which is running on a basic setup of the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and the Storefront theme. I tried an export by following the exact steps you mentioned, and did get the desired output for my chosen category.

    All exports I try are 1 kB and empty

    Therefore, we suggest trying on another browser or in incognito mode. You can clear your browser’s cache as explained in this guide:

    I tried the following browsers:
    Opera, firefox, microsoft edge and chrome. All return an empty file.
    Clearing the cache does not fix this problem.

    In the category: TEST, there are 3 products, 2 variable products and 1 simple.
    Export returns an empty .csv file.

    I tried a different category: NIEUW, there are 60 products in there.
    Variable, simple etc.
    Export returns an empty .csv file.

    Hi there,

    I can see from your system status report that “Wordfence Security” is enabled on the site. It seems like this plugin might be blocking the request to generate the CSV file.

    Can you try to disable that plugin as well, and give it another try?

    Hello,

    I recommend running a conflict test, you can follow these steps below:

    If the issue is not present, it was a conflict affecting this behavior, and you can reactivate the theme and plugins gradually one by one (and check again after each reactivation) until you find the cause of the issue, You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Clearing the cache is not solving it.
    Changing the theme does not solve it.
    Disabling all other plugins does not solve it.

    It is really strange that even after disabling all plugins and switching to a basic theme, the export isn’t still working.

    By any chance do you have any custom code active on your site? If so, please disable it and try again.

    If I rename that advanced-cache.php file it will add a new file with this name.
    So this is part of the wordpress itself or Woocommerce. I can not turn it off.

    I can not cache purged instead? because it is in WordPress or woocommerce itself. There is no button to purge…
