Support » Fixing WordPress » Empty page getting indexed – redirect / set to private?

  • Hello,

I have created a page which simply serves to provide a drop down menu to subfolders.

Even though there is nothing in this page and I have done no SEO on it it is being ranked by google a few results doen from my home page.

I’m happy that any page is getting ranked! But hadn’t expected one like this.

For the moment I have created a button on the page to link to the relevant content.

How should I proceed , do the same with similar pages or create redirects for them all? Or make them private in quick edit?

If redirect what is the best way to go about this?

    Thanks

The best course would be to add a writeup to those empty pages to describe what those child pages contain, and possibly you can list those pages too there.
