    Hello,

I’m setting up a simple form for visitors to enter their email address, but I’ve found that if the “Submit via AJAX” box is checked, the form will accept blank entries (nothing entered in the email box). This isn’t ideal. I can leave the box unchecked, but then the page refreshes, and the Thank You message appears on the reloaded page… I can’t decide if that’s good or not. I’d prefer for the AJAX submission to happen, with the thank you message immediately shown, but also have the form refuse to submit unless the email address is entered.

    Hi @theelifequixotic

Very interesting. I am definitely managing to reproduce at the moment, but I’m not quite sure why it’s getting through so far.

Thank you for letting us know about this, and we are investigating this.

    Thanks Michael.

Also, the field actually appears to only validate for a “@“ symbol. You don’t need a proper domain extension.
