empty download.html

Hi,

After the latest update, every download link on my website downloads an empty “download.html” file instead of re-directing to the actual download. It was working fine before.

However if I right click / copy link and paste that link in my browser, it works fine. It just doesn’t work when clicking the Download button.

Any suggestions?

Yes, precisely we are using WP Rocket 🙂

Could you please clear the cache and recreate the minified files and test again?

having the same issue. also using wp rocket, clearing cache does not fix it.
works on uncached pages.
help please

Recreate the minified files also please and let me know if this worked.

I disabled the file Optimizations entirely no js or css files minified .

still same issue.

clicking the download button now takes me to the top of the page instead of downloading.

download link at the bottom, I remove caching plugin, issue only on mobile phones.
download works on phone only in incognito mode.

It worked on both desktop and mobile on my behalf. I’ve noticed you removed the tmstv parameter from the link. Could you add it back and try again? I think the link response is memorized in cache and thus giving you some errors.

this didn’t help. on my phone it dosent work on two browsers. this is really weird.
what else can I do.

Could you please send me the download.html file that you are receiving when the error happens?

when I click the download button for the first time nothing happens and the download button become the post link. and when I click for the second time it goes to the top of the page. not really refreshing the page, just goes to the top.

Could you please clear the cache on your phone and try again? Asked my colleagues also and they were able to download the file.
