 * We have the free Give plugin installed (ver 1.7.1) and everything seems to be
   working except that the donation confirmation email (the email back to the organization)
   does not have any details, it just says “New Donation!” and then shows the hyperlinked
   name of the organization.
 * When I go to the email settings are to set up the format for this email, below
   is what it shows, so it certainly seems like we should be getting a more detailed
   confirmation. When I test the donation receipt side (the email to the donor)
   that seems to be working as it should.

   [http://savethetaunton.org](http://savethetaunton.org).
 * Donor: {name}
    Donation: {donation} Amount: {amount} Payment Method: {payment_method}
 * Thank you,

 * Hi there,
 * Email can be a tricky thing. Do you have other plugins installed related to email
   for your WordPress site? If so, try disabling them and testing without them.
 * We wrote this guide specifically for troubleshooting email issues. Review that
   as well:
    [https://givewp.com/documentation/core/settings/emails/troubleshooting-common-email-problems/](https://givewp.com/documentation/core/settings/emails/troubleshooting-common-email-problems/)
 * The “Email Cop” plugin is particularly useful for testing your emails without
   them having to be sent all the time.
 * Let me know what you find and I’ll try to help further from there. Thanks!

 * Thanks Matt. We do not have any other email-related plug-ins installed on the
   site. I looked through the troubleshooting guide but all the suggestions there
   seem to be for situations where email is not being sent at all, whereas our situation
   is that the emails are being sent and received just fine, they just don’t have
   the expected content.

 * Email Cop will help you test while you troubleshoot. I’d recommend disabling
   all plugins except Give and Email Cop, then enable the “Test Donation” gateway.
   Do a test donation and view the email via Email Cop.
 * If it works as expected, then reactivate each plugin one by one, testing between
   again until you see the problem again. Then let me know which plugin triggered
   the issue with Give so I can test.
 * Thanks!
