    Hi

I have a product (“Testprodukt”) with inventory “1”. If I buy 8 of them, the inventory will be “-7”.

When I’m in the overview page of woocommerce orders, the “Backorder?” column is empty. Even when I go to the detail page of the order, I don’t see anything.

Screenshot 1 (Woocommerce order overview): https://share.getcloudapp.com/kpuDm5Z5

Screenshot 2 (Woocommerce detail page of the order): https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nuqr58G
On the right side (marked in red) the message that the inventory has been reduced to -7 appears correctly.

If these things work, this would be a great plugin.

I would be really happy if you can help me.

    Kind regards,
    Olivier

    Hi Jeffrey

Do you have any idea why this isn’t working?

    Kind regards,
    Olivier

We found the reason of your issue. You have to set the product settting ‘Allow backorders?’ to ‘Allow, but notify customer’ in stead of ‘Allow’. It’s a design decision from WooCommerce to only show backorder information in frontend and backend if the allow backorders setting is set to notify the customer. If you ask us it should always show this information in the backend. (We will contact WooCommerce to check if this is a known ‘bug’ or there are plans to alter this behaviour in the future).
