Hello, this is my first ever post here so go easy on me :)

I have a wordpress plugin I created and I want to embed a YouTube video in it's description exactly as shown here:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

When I edit the readme file and add the embed code it gets deleted once I commit it to the repository. Any idea how I can do this ?

Based on the way the w3-total-cache folks have their readme.txt file set up, you just need to include a link to the YouTube video inline in your readme.txt file:

    http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/w3-total-cache/trunk/readme.txt

I did but it doesn't seem to appear. I'll try to download their txt file and see exactly how they wrote their html.
