# Embedding Video

 * Hi folks
 * I updated to 3.1.2 today, and now I can’t embed video. I’m using the exact same
   method as for 3.1.1, just pasting my code into the HTML, and nothing doing.
 * Also, if I go to posts that have already successfully embedded video, I can’t
   update without losing the video. 3.1.2 just doesn’t like it.
 * Problem is, all of this is work-related content, so the providers are not on 
   WP’s approved lists.
 * Help greatly appreciated.

 * I would love to know how to upload a utube video which I downloaded to my computer
   onto a post. Whenever I try using the upload video option (click on the little
   video image above the post while in edit) it only places a link. I want to be
   able to actually have the image of the video so that people just have to click“
   play”. Is that possible on WP? Can someone tell me how?
