    Hi Alex,

What procedure are you following to embed your flash files? Although I never tried with self-hosted flash files, my intuition says it should work regardless of where they are being hosted.
The procedure I recommend is, once you have your .FLVs uploaded:
    1. Enable the Media button in the UTMCE settings.
    2. Create a new post or, if you already have an existing one, Edit it.
    3. In Visual mode, place the cursor where you want the .flv to appear, and click on the “Insert/Edit media” editor button.
    4. A popup should show up with a form to fill in.
    5. Make sure you choose “Flash” in the “Type” dropdown and paste the URL of your self-hosted flash file inside the “File/URL” field. You may also adjust the desired dimensions of the object element by tweaking the Height and Width settings.
    6. You can play with a bunch of other settings, but the ones I mentioned in 5. are the most important ones.
    7. Click on “Insert” and then preview your post: your flash should be displayed correctly.

You can use this demo post we’ve created as reference. The flv was embedded using the same technique explained above, but the code post is slightly more complex than what you need because the flv links to another page.

Don’t hesitate to let us know if you are able to make it work or if you need further assistance.

    Hello, Alex.
I can see your flash video just fine. You just need to hover over the page and click on play:
    Here is a screenshot.

Before you do, and I apologize if this sounds condescending (it really isn’t, but I gotta ask), do you have flash player installed in your browser? It sounds like that could be the problem.
You can test if it’s installed in this page: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/.
If you see the bouncy cube animation, then it means it is.

    Ok, thanks.
Now I can see the pb since the video seems to have stopped working on my end as well. Did you change the code?
What I would try, just to be on the safe side, is to upload the same video with a latin filename see if you can display it.
That’s about the only thing I can think of that might be causing this issue.

That was a problem.I changed name of the file with ftp and put full url and it is working now.It must be latin characters used for that.
Sorry for taking your time and thanks for help.
    🙂

Glad to know it’s working. To be honest, it should work with non-latin characters too, so no need to apologize!
We are gonna look into this to make sure it’s not coming from our end.
Thanks for letting us know about it!

you have saw SS with firebug what it says with non latin characters. On purpose i have add just a link beside video player to make sure that is path visible by wordpress and in player code it show slightly different.
I will try to experiment little and if i get some result i will post it just in case that someone else run on same error.
    By the way
This is a great plugin 🙂

I dont want to open new post but i want to ask is it possible to have 2 or more videos embedded in one post and to be able playing youtube video in fullscreen on the website?

    Plugin Author Marventus

    (@marventus)

    HI alex,

You may embed as many videos as you wish in any given post. Watching them in full screen is a different story, since your videos will never be able to bi bigger than the container in which your posts are being shown.
If you want real fullscreen (i.e, with an overlay), you should look into lightbox or fancybox plugins. There’s one I use a lot called Fancybox2. The website has very thoroguh documentation and examples you can use in your own site.
    Cheers!
