 * I am trying to embed a calendar from google that is public. I follow these steps
   that are on the support page for wordpress. Everytime I hit “update” though,
   it immediately deletes everything and the page doesn’t update with a calendar.
   I am very lost, and new to wordpress, and use it for a class at the college I
   work at. Any help is appreciated.
 * Here is the step by step I follow:[https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-calendar/](https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-calendar/)

 * Ok, that support document is only for blogs at WordPress.com, very different
   from your self-hosted WordPress.org blog.
 * On your blog, follow a similar approach, but just copy/paste the iframe into
   the Text editor tab (not the Visual editor tab).
 * It won’t be converted into a shortcode, but it will still work.

 * Hmm, every time I try and copy the iframe code into the text window instead of
   the visual editor tab, after I update it, everything gets deleted and the page
   is blank.
 * I appreciate your help, I am very confused!

 * Would you please provide the iframe code here? Make sure you use the “code” button
   above the reply box here.

 * `<iframe src="https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?mode=WEEK&height=600&wkst
   =1&bgcolor=%23FFFFFF&src=m7lc3e0pols994pjde3kcuvsp4%40group.calendar.google.com&
   color=%232952A3&ctz=America%2FLos_Angeles" style=" border-width:0 " width="800"
   height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>`
 * Hope I did that right.

 * It worked well for me on my test blog: [http://d.pr/i/14ho2/3JzrZzrn](http://d.pr/i/14ho2/3JzrZzrn)
 * Something else must be interfering.
 * Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
   individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme
   to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * Thank you for your help! I am still working on this but I appreciate your insight!
   😀 I will write back when it’s fixed or if I have another question
