• The easiest way to explain this problem is we schedule a WordPress post (eg. to publish at 6am) with an embedded YouTube (eg. to publish at 5am via YouTube) to automatically publish at a date in the future. However after the WordPress post has published the YouTube video is never displayed automatically even though it is available on YouTube. I’ve tried all the different techniques to embed the video into the post without any luck in having YouTube videos automatically display in a published scheduled post.

The response from the YouTube forum was “That’s more of a wordpress question. It is most likely in the mechanics of the way that YouTube embeds YouTube videos. Instead of using the standard embed code, it may re-wrap the video URL to some standard that it uses, it may check to see if the video is accessible, if not it just creates a hyperlink rather than an embedded player.

As far as YouTube is concerned the URL is still valid even if the scheduled publishing date hasn’t arrived, visitors simply see an error that the video is private.”

I know users were experiencing this issue a couple of years ago, but I’m wondering whether it was actually resolved or not. Any knowledge or information on this topic would be appreciated.
