I am fairly new at this and I’m trying to figure out
how to display embedded video into my blog
i have tried a few plugins but none seem to work
hopefully someone here will be able to help me
here are some examples of embed codes I would like to use
<embed src="http://peoplexchange.ning.com/xn_resources/widgets/video/flvplayer/flvplayer.swf" FlashVars="config_url=http%3A%2F%2Fpeoplexchange.ning.com%2Fvideo%2Fvideo%2FshowPlayerConfig%3Fid%3D601424%3AVideo%3A611%26x%3DttM93sCUjHl811c4LTusoGxyRB1Fbwm6&share_btn=off&fullscreen_btn=off&app_link=on" width="426" height="379" scale="noscale" wmode="window" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"> <noembed>G-Dep :: Lets Get It</noembed> </embed>
<embed src="http://services.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f8/353514992" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" flashVars="videoId=537026469&playerId=353514992&viewerSecureGatewayURL=https://services.brightcove.com/services/amfgateway&servicesURL=http://services.brightcove.com/services&cdnURL=http://admin.brightcove.com&domain=embed&autoStart=false&" base="http://admin.brightcove.com" name="flashObj" width="486" height="412" seamlesstabbing="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" swLiveConnect="true" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></embed>
Bright Cove and peoplexchange both look interesting and I might just add them to the AMP automated embeds.
I’m using WP 2.2 and the AMP 2.0 beta, and don’t get the embed buttons I keep reading about. Any help? It’s an activated plugin for me.
Also, if I use the kmil embedding option for flash, it results in an autoplay flash movie. Any easy way to give it the control bar, and keep it from autoplaying? I’m not much of a coder.
I highly recommend Viper’s Video Quicktag plugin. It works great and it’s super simple.
edit your post in code mode, you can paste the source for any embeded flash you like (like youtubes, gvideos, etc)
i recommedn http://www.wodpod.com, once you have selected your vuideos, you can get an HTML code, which you copy and paste to a text widget.
