embed external webpage in post

  • I think this is a pretty simple question but I’ve had a hard time finding the answer in the documentation, forums or plug ins. I simply want to embed an external webpage IN a post. It will fit inside my theme and template for a post, but I can’t seem to find the right way to do it.

I assumed there was a plug in for this – I tried Pageview and Include Me In That but I’m having activation problems for both.

It just can’t be that difficult. Again, it’s just embedding the entire, exact external HTML page in a POST (not a page).

    Thanks in advance –

  • So you want to just have all your html code listed on the page right? There are some plugins but none of them really seem to work too well. You can search for “code view” plugins or something like that. I use something similar on my site http://www.bluebreeze.net/blog.

However the simplest, yet most rudimentary thing to do is simply to paste it in after replacing all of your “<” tags with “<” and your “>” tags with “>”.

That will mark those tags as not being html and it should just show up as text on your page.
