my customers don’t receive emails any more when they place an order.
    And I need help, please.
It worked last Saturday but stopped working. I only updated to WordPress 4.5 yesterday but it hasn’t worked for a few days. I didn’t change anything else.

I manually added an order the other day and it said “order updated and email sent” but my customer has not received the email with the link for payment.

Could someone please assist? Thank you in advance!

  • Check your server mail logs for information that could help solve the problem. It could be many different things. Also, make sure your site ip address is not blacklisted that could block deliverability and send emails to spam folders.

I would use PostmanSMTP to ensure delivery of all emails on your website. Plugin here:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/postman-smtp/

Makes a difference and there is a log for sent emails as well.

What other plugins do you have installed on your site? Where is your site hosted?

VentraIp is the host. I lodged a ticket and they told me it might have something to do with cloudfare. I now lidged a ticket with them and hope they can help. If not, I’ll let you know.

    Hi AjitKhodke,

I have a long list of plugins but I didn’t install anything new before the email sending stopped working. It still worked on Saturday, 9 April but must have stopped working 5 days later. I noticed it when I added an order manually. In between this time, I didn’t make any changes.
My host (VentraIp) suggested to get in contact with Cloudfare to update some details. I am now waiting for them to get back to me.
Hopefully, this will solve the problems.
    Warmest regards,
    Mel

    Hi all,

Just a quick update on this one to let you know what caused the problem in my case.
Someone recently installed my website on Cloudflare and I located a mistake in the set up of the MX record, which I corrected. This solved the problem of the emails not sending.

Thank you all for your help!
    Warmest regards,
    Mel
