Hello, I have a problem to make the MailChimp API works. The name field in MailChimp (FNAME) is not mandatory. The “Historical API calls” show there is interaction with the API. Everything looks fine – no errors, the form returns correct messages. But I don’t have new emails in my MailChimp list. Can you please help me to understand what I do wrong? The site is on https, not sure this is a problem.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,
Double opt-in is enabled. So, either you didn’t confirm the subscription or confirmation emails are going to the spam folder.

Thank you for the fast answer. You are right. But as I see Double opt-in is not enabled from the MailChimp list settings. I checked this couple of times. What I’m missing?

I personally don’t use MC so can’t be 100% sure but API (which our plugin uses) is one thing and embedded forms (which that option refers to) are another. I’m afraid you won’t be able to disable double opt-in with our plugin. However, I can confirm that our devs are working on that and it will be available as an option soon.

Were you able to resolve the issue?

Yes, I figured out that MailChimp in-site options ะฐั€ะต not applicable to the API. I had to uncomment one line in the code of the plugin and it works fine now. I know this is not a good solution but it is the only option for now.

Also, there is one error message (in case of empty field) that is hardcoded and cannot be customized from admin part. So this is another change directly in the code.

A very good job with the plugin. I hope you will continue to develop it.

Thank you for the info. We’ll definitely continue developing it ๐Ÿ™‚ In fact, PRO version has just hit the beta1 stage and should be out in 2 weeks.

I see the hardcoded message. We’ll get that fixed in the next update.

Just fixed the hardcoded message issue. The new version will be out in 1-2 days.

    Hi @aatanasow,

I have the same problem as well. May I ask which line of code in the plugin you had to uncomment?

    Thanks for the help!

    Cheers,

There’s no need to edit anything in the code. Just update the plugin to the latest version.

I used the right Mailchimp API, didn’t set double-opt in and FNAME is not madatory. Am I missing anything? Anything else I could do?

Everything is working fine for me. Just got the subscription confirmation email.

That’s so strange. My subscription count in Mailchimp site didn’t increase at all.

Oh got it. Just 1h ago, I didn’t receive any subscription confirmation email even after keying in my email. Now it works miraculously! Must be the author’s touch, your haha. Thanks @webfactory.

    I didn’t confirm the subscription ๐Ÿ™‚
    You’re welcome!

If you have a second, please rate the plugin. It helps us out a lot. Thanks! https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/minimal-coming-soon-maintenance-mode/reviews/#new-post
