Emails inaccurate / delivered late

  • I’m using the free version of wordfence and every now and then I’ll get an email saying that plugin(s) need updating. When I login (just after receiving the email) the scan was last run hours ago. For example I received an email at 9:47 PM eastern on 3/26…but the last scan was run on 3/26 at 3:49 AM.

Additionally the email listed 4 plugins that needed an upgrade – upon logging into my dashboard there is only one that shows its in need of an upgrade, and one of the plugins it lists I don’t even have installed anymore.

The email also shows a warning of a modified plugin file – however the wordfence scan page/dashboard doesn’t have any mention of this.

I’m not sure if this is just an issue with wordfence or some other concern with wordpress itself. I see no indications anywhere else of a problem with wordpress.

    Thanks for any feedback.
