Support » Fixing WordPress » Emails from mobile get mangled (UTF-8)

  • Hi,
I’ve just set up wordpress, which is thoroughly amazing.
I’ve got email-to-blog working, but the main purpose of this was to be able to post from my mobile. Alas, emails from my Nokia 6820 are getting messed up. It appears to be in the format “UTF-8”. An example blog entry:
    Subject: =?UTF-8?Q?Test?=
    Text:
    A test =
    from my mobile
Is there any workaround to get rid of the ‘=’ signs and the ?UTF-8?Q? business? I’m English, so it’s not like I *want* to write in some obscure character set 🙂 TIA.

  • I am having the *very same* problem.
Is there any solution for this?
I am using the original wp-mail.php from v1.2.2, and all int. chars in the subject get messed up. sending as utf-8.
