• Hi all,

When we receive multiple form submission emails – they all get bundled up in one thread as they come from the same email – wordpress@sunguard.nz

Is it possible to change this so they emails come from the actual address that filled out the form?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    See Setting up mail

What email settings do you have in the Mail tab panel?

To protect personal data, hiding email addresses in the settings or replacing them with dummy addresses is strongly advised. You can also include screenshots.

    Hi there

I have [your-name] <wordpress@sunguard.nz> in the from field.

Because of this – all the emails from different people get bundled up as one thread and I’d like to have them come through as separate emails.
Is there any way to do that?

The article basically says it has to be [your-name] <wordpress@sunguard.nz>

I have recently experienced this as well when the recipient is a Gmail inbox. I have been using CF7 for over 5 years and never had this issue.

The From is set up as the guide suggests — [your-name] <wordpress@mysite.com>

The Additional Headers is set as — Reply-To: [your-email]

The messages arrive and it combines them all in the same thread, regardless of the “Reply To” email address being different. If I replied to each email within the thread, it would appropriately have the To: address as the email address provided within the form.

This would lead me to believe that GMail is doing this as a new feature of some sort because the subject line was the same.

I was able to prevent this by changing the subject line to also use a mail-tag that is unique. They were no longer grouped into one thread after that. So, as an example, but Subject field is now:

    “Contact Form Inquiry From [your-email]”.

Not sure if CF7 has any control over this.
