Hi all, I have a serious problem here and hopefully the folks here will be able to help me.

My website is hosted on GoDaddy, I just changed from a Windows server to a Linux one, and everything is working fine except 2 things.

    1. WordPress registration is not sending passwords to my readers and followers.

    2. My contact form (via a plugin) is not sending the messages to my designated email.

I am guessing this has got to do with the migration of Windows to Linux. My email is using Google Mail.

It probably relates to the configuration of the new Linux server. See E-mailed_passwords_are_not_being_received.

My previous settings for SMTP host is already smtp.gmail.com, and the SMTP port is 465, the recommended port.

When I try to send a test mail via my SMTP plugin, it says "SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

Everything was fine just before the migration from Windows to Linux :(

From what I recall, some GD servers reject emails from non-domain-based addresses. Try asking GoDaddy about this directly.
