# Emails

 * How do you remove the green bar at the top of the emails? Also the footer of 
   the emails.
    Is there a setting to remove this?

 * Why do you want to remove HTML emails? They are nicer for customers, moreover–
   you can get even better ones! Just remove all previously generated emails and
   regenerate default ones from Jigoshop Settings 😉

    Thank you for your
   response. I think there has been some confusion. I have already developed my 
   custom HTML email to our customers. The problem and my question, is about the
   new green bar (see link) that got added to the emails in the new version. When
   I went to the code for the email, the bar wasn’t there to remove. The green and
   pink don’t work well and it just doesn’t look good. I don’t want the default 
   emails, as I have already customized them with our colors and such to keep a 
   consistent look.

 * Your issue is resolved in 1.16.1 – we have forgotten about “Enable HTML emails”
   switch (which is in Jigoshop => Settings, General tab, right above “generate 
   default emails” option).
 * New version is being uploaded right now, so you can update in a few minutes (
   hopefully).

 * Yes it did fix it I believe.
 * I am confused though – my email is still set up as HTML even without that option
   enabled. I’m going to test if the emails appear differently if it is enabled.
   But glad its back to the way it was. thank you.

 * It’s just “internal” switch – we integrated HTML Emails extension into Jigoshop
   Core, but thinking about backwards compatibility we just added behaviour like
   with mentioned plugin enabled.
 * After regeneration of emails this switch will be automatically enabled and you
   will receive pretty emails with nice items table and all headers and footers 
   etc.
