Mailchimp wants to email customers with Product Retargeting Notification
about a woocommerce product it says is called “deleted_0”. I’ve no idea what this product is, or why it is showing up. Is there a way to constrain what is used? (how about featured products?). Mailchimp also seems to like my free sample downloads (I guess it ranks “best sellers” by unit sales, not dollars sold.)

Hi @aaron843, Thanks for reaching out, we’ll be glad to help. Just to get a handle on the situation you’re experiencing, could you provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?

    – What plugin version are you using?
    – Is there any logging errors in the plugin’s logs tab (when it’s set to standard or debug)?

Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

@aaron843 the “deleted product” you see is actually a workaround to get the order data to stick correctly because the Mailchimp API requires a valid product id / variant id for the order to be valid. We have created this dummy product in order to report revenue on the customer, show order history etc.

There is no current workaround on this, but the question you pose is valid… I would like to see if we could at least “ignore” these products somehow in the recommendations.

We’ll be back in touch as soon as we get some info for you.

Hi @aaron843, we just wanted to let you know that this issue was addressed in our latest release (v2.3.2). When you get a minute, please execute a force resync from the plugin’s settings page and that will pass the necessary logic over to Mailchimp’s recommendation engine to hide those particular products.

Let us know if anything else pops up, don’t hesitate to reach back out to us. We really appreciate you using the plugin. If it’s working well for you and your business, please consider leaving us a positive review.
