    Hi there,

I am trying to use the Email Templates Plugin, but as I can see, the subscriber mails are not been sent by “my” WordPress (using the Email Templates plugin), but instead WordPress.com is sending the mails using their completely different email template. (From: Myblogname <donotreply@wordpress.com>)

Is this a change in the latest WordPress/Jetpack versions or is there a switch somewhere which I have not found yet?

Update: I did find the switch at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules … but when I switch off the Jetpack module (which is described here https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/ ), I am not getting new post emails at all. Also I am losing the subscription widget and notifying options at the comment form. :/

I am confused now, is Email Templates working only for a different type of WordPress subscription? How does it work?

Ok another update to this by myself. Because this was a huge misundertanding by me … indeed the subcription feature we are using is offered by Jetpack and wordpress.com and if we want to use templates, we have to move our subscriber list to a plugin on our site, for example MailChimp, and of course change the subscription widget.

I also asked at Jetpack support wheter any kind of mail customization or a template could be used, but they said no.
