    Hi there,

I currently use a plugin that formats all of my outgoing e-mails so they are uniform in appearance. Is there any way to change all of the e-mails to only output the text from the email settings page and strip all the excess HTML formatting?

Hi @bmcconach, for now, there is no such option, but I’ll write it down so you can in the next version choose between HTML and plain email types.

Hi @bmcconach, in 2.30.0 you can now choose to use the Plain email type under Giveaways > Settings > Emails.

This will still use all the text entered but strip any HTML tags.

Thank you so much for adding this feature! I greatly appreciate it and wish more developers would take suggestions like this and apply them to future builds.

    Thank you again!

Hi @bmcconach, thank you for such kind words! I want to make Simple Giveaways better with each upgrade so I am always taking into account any suggestions 🙂

This one was a pretty big one since email is an important part of running giveaways and I guess, with this, others might also want to use the plain option.

Hope you have some great giveaways! 🙂

There’s currently a problem on my free simple giveaway plugin. The email it sends to participants. The activation link adds a #038;activation=1 thus makes it imposible to have participant activate their link

Hi @platanon, could you create a new support ticket here as this one was resolved.

You can also state in the support ticket what are you using for sending emails (plugin, service)? Have you worked on the template and if you share a screenshot of how the text of the email is looking could help.
