Hello @larclericalpluscom and thanks for reaching out to us!
I have seen this happen before where the settings in the tables just forget what they are doing. Try to disable the Enable email summary then Save the settings, then enable it again and save again.
Let me know if this resolves the issue!
Thanks!

thanks for your accurate co,mplete and timely reply – either that evening or the next day, I did as you requested, still had it on daily reports, and still nutt’n honey
and yesterday I of course got all my monthly summary reports from all my other sites
what’s next – export the settings, deactivate, uninstall, reinstall then import the settings
let me know – no rush, it of course is still working for me at this site, just no report
thanks in advance for your time

It’s definitely something corrupt in the table if you are still getting your monthly summary. I don’t want you to have to reinstall unless absolutely necessary.
Is it specifically the email summary that you arent getting or is it the alert emails? Try to disable every option in the Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences and also disable the email summary and save the options. Then go through and enable the settings you want and save it again.
If this doesnt work, can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.
Thanks!

so sorry just getting back to you
i have other issues and it appears wordfense is working at this site, just no reports, so this is not on the top of my to-do list
it is specifically the summary that i am not getting – i have the same options set for all my other site
i turn off most alerts except critical stuff
i had the reports on monthly, then i changed ti daily – still nothing
i just did as you requested – turned everything off, then back on
still have summary set to daily
net net, if i have to deactivate, delete and install, no biggie as i can export and import settings, no?
as always, thanks for your time and effort – i do appreciate it, even if my replies are not timely

Have you tried to send a test email from Tools > Diagnostic > Other Tests. Try to send a test and see if your WP_mail is working. Do you use any plugins for mail?
If that doesn’t work, you know it’s an issue with your wp_mail and you might have to reach out to your host to resolve. If it does work, then possibly a reinstall would work.
Here is a guide to reinstall just in case:
A complete re-install of Wordfence might be a good step. It’s always best to make a backup of the site and database before installing/removing plugins, just to be safe.
Additionally, you can backup your Wordfence settings via the Export option. Navigate to Wordfence > Tools > Import/Export Options and click Export. You can also take note of the current Whitelisted URLs you have in Wordfence > Firewall > All Firewall Options > Whitelisted URLs as these are NOT included in the Import/Export, and will be lost during the re-install.
Here is what is exported: https://www.wordfence.com/help/tools/import-export/
During the export, you will be given a long string of text. Keep this safe, you’ll need it in a few minutes.
After that, enable the option to Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation in All Options > General Wordfence Options. You will want to remember to disable this after you reinstall Wordfence again.
After you enable that option, you can deactivate Wordfence from the Plugins area of your site, then delete it. Next, from the plugins area, search for and re-install Wordfence like normal.
It will be like setting Wordfence up for the first time. You will need to enter an email address, and then go into Tools > Import/Export Options and paste that string of text into the Import Wordfence Options field and click the button there.
The firewall will be in Learning Mode by default for 7 days. I would recommend switching this to Enabled and Protected as soon as possible.
Let me know what you do find out from the test!
Thanks!

as always sorry just getting back to you
bad news, i cut n pasted the ID from the options page into the diagnostic test for just the email id and the test activity report – both worked
what do you want me to do next – deactivate, uninstall, reinstall
or
send you a diagnostic report
if you are sure a reinstall will work, i have no problem with that
thanks again for your time – i do appreciate it

I am not guaranteeing it will fix the issue but it would be the next step if you say the test emails are working properly.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!

sorry so late, but i got busy and i wanted to wait on the monthly reports
i did as per above, complete deactivate, delete and re-install with an import of my saved settings
and still nothing? – set it to daily reports – nothing (tested email settings too)
any thoughts?
it’s clear that it is running for me at this one client site, just no reports – not a big deal, but annually i share one report with my clients to see that contrary to their thoughts, their website is under constant attack
i am just about to say ‘no mas’ with this, as it’s taken way too much time already
as always, i thank you for your time and effort
