    Hi @jillybean123

I have taken a look at your subscription, and there are some pending subscribers but checking their email logs, we have never sent them any email stating their subscription is confirmed, which means they have never confirmed their subscription.

I can see you have followers under the “Followers” section and peoples who are subscribed to your website through email is under “Email Followers”. If you can provide us the exact email ids which you think have confirmed their subscription but not in your subscription list, then we can check more closely.

Please don’t share the email ids directly in the forum, as this will violate forum guidelines. You can also contact us via this contact form and include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!

I’m not sure I’m doing this right….but the emails of the people (some of them!) who say they have confirmed their subscription are:

    xxxx@gmail.com
    xxx@aol.com
    xxxx@me.com

At least 3 of the technical support people at BlueSky have subscribed as well — and confirmed — and still they were not listed under my Email Followers at jetpack. It is essential that I know who my subscribers are. I suggest that you subscribe and see if your request is listed…. Please help me! [email and phone redacted]

I was asked to provide those emails. (from the note above). How can I resolve the issue about my subscribers not being listed on Email Subscribers even though they have confirmed their subscription?

    Hello,

Once you submit a ticket, we would be happy to look into those addresses for you for clues. Thanks!

Thank you, Stef. For your help. Don’t know if this reply will reach you or not. So I will also copy it and re-send through the forum feature.

    1. Can my subscribers from both Followers and Email Followers be combined so I can know the exact number of followers? (Or do I have to tally that separately?)

    2. Now that a techie has introduced me to the Followers link, it isn’t that important for me to pass on the emails of people who weren’t listed. I will find out next Tuesday–when I post another blog–if they receive it. Or not. Those who do not, I will ask to re-subscribe.

    Hey @jillybean123!

I see you sent the same reply on a private message/ticket. For privacy reasons, we’ll reply to you privately shortly, so I’m going to close this thread and mark it as solved 🙂

Why do some subscribers end up as “Followers” and others as “Email Followers”? They subscribe using their emails and I can’t understand why some end up as Followers while others are Email Followers. I’d like then ALL to be listed in View Email Followers so I can keep a tally in one place, under one file. Can you help?

    Hi @jillybean123

As we explained in a previous email (did you get that?):

The nature of the subscribers depends on whether they have a WordPress.com account or not. When subscribing to your site, if they have a WordPress.com they’ll appear in the “Followers” tab.

If they use a different email address that’s not associated with a WordPress.com account, then they’ll appear in the “Email followers” tab.

There isn’t a way to view them all in a single list, but if you view your Stats page at https://wordpress.com/stats/ you’ll see the total number of followers in the top right of the page.

Let us know if you need anything else.
