# Email scripts inserting backslash

 * I reported this issue some time ago (link to original subject is here: [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/quote-plugin-issues/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/quote-plugin-issues/))
   and received the reply that the issue would be looked at during the next update….
   but I’ve seen nothing since.
 * Basically, my pre-configured emails get backslashes inserted around any special
   character (like an inverted comma). See the example below. Maybe this is a mac
   issue? Maybe not.
 * Example:
    Once again, we\\\’ve really enjoyed being of service to you!
 * Obviously the word “we’ve” doesn’t have those backslashes in the email templates.
 * Is there a work-around or a fix?
