# Email receipt

 * We have both “Enabled?” and “Send Receipt by Default?” checked in Edit Receipt
   Options in Braintree Settings. (We use Braintree elsewhere for donations, and
   use these receipts).
 * But when we set up the plugin and try to complete a transaction, we get an error:
 * `Error: PayPal Powered by Braintree was unable to complete the transaction. Please
   try again later or use another means of payment. Reason: Email is required if
   sending a receipt.`
 * Ideas? (we’re still in Sandbox, btw)

 * Hey there,
 * The email field should definitely be going through. I did see with a different
   gateway (Stripe) that even though the email address is sent through that it isn’t
   saved in Stripe unless the customer saves their CC details which makes Stripe
   create a customer ID. Something similar could be happening here.
 * Is it possible for you to submit a ticket to WooThemes.com? This may take a bit
   of back and forth and it would be nice to see your username / password to login
   and be able to fix this.
