Before I do this upgrade and attempt to wade through the other problems I see here, what exactly is meant by “Email Notifications Removed”? If I’m to take that at face-value, then this plugin is no longer useful for me. I’m not going to require or expect customers to revisit my site constantly to see if their ticket has been answered, and I also don’t spend all day refreshing my WordPress admin looking for new tickets.

    In short:
    Are all email notifications removed?
If not, which ones are still present?
If so, what logic could have possibly led to this decision?
If this is temporary, when can we expect it to be addressed?

  • They did this to put this basic feature behind a pay way, see there site here

There is no reason why they removed this and the canned replies besides the fact that they can now charge us for these, I think that is a low ball to customers like me and you who rely on these features.

I haven’t looked yet, but I’m getting ready to. If that’s the case, I will be moving on to a different product. Thanks for the response, @spikerzz

To be clear, I can understand putting some things behind a paywall, but basic email notification? C’mon…

Agreed. This is a deal-breaker for me as well. I am investigating using the Awesome Support help desk plugin instead.

Ditto. Looking at either Awesome Support or WPMU’s plugin.

It’s to bad because this was a good plugin before they got greedy

Agreed. I’ve relied on it for a very long time. It looks like I have access to all of the add-ons for the new release under my purchase way-back-when, somehow, but I can’t support a decision like this. A support system is basically useless without at least the most basic of email notifications.

Hi Guys, Thank you for your feedback. Allow me to clarify what happened. The Email Notifications & Canned Reply were Beta Features which have now successfully been tested and updated to most robust version. It is correct that the final versions are part of the Add-On bundle, however the very affordable Add-On Bundle gives you access to many high-end features including Notifications & Canned Responses – also ability to be able to export your tickets for record keeping or various CRM tools. We remain the most affordable Plugin with highest number of advanced features with a very dedicated customer service team. Not only that, our team will help you install and configure the product should you face any issues.

Could you please contact our Support via Facebook or Twitter to assist you in real time, at your convenient time?

The greater point here is that a support plugin is, essentially, pointless for the overwhelming majority of users if it doesn’t include at least a minimal email notifications implementation. I have access to the add-ons, but putting this necessary feature behind a paywall is just…wrong. As such, I’ll be paying more for a different solution if necessary. I can’t trust that you won’t take other features that should be part of a base installation and start charging me for those somewhere down the line.

I’ve relied on your plugin for a very long time, and it has been great, but I feel I must move on. Best of luck.

I agree, it is a hard to accept decision that the basic email notifications have been moved to the paid version although personally I am not so unhappy because for me email piping is a core feature so I had already chosen the paid option. On the other way, there are quite some other free features here which are paid at others, and here the paid option is rather affordable and contains all addons while others, e.g. Awesome require to pay additional affordable amount for each little addon feature resulting in a hardly affordable sum. Hopefully, Pradeep will keep the policy and not learn from those. Otherwise we would have to switch to some other solution, maybe even out of WP space like OTRS or OsTicket.
