email notification problems for commenter

    I received the following not from someone who placed a comment of my sit http://www.gamecopysoftware.org When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any approach you possibly can take away me from that service? Thanks I am new to wordpress but I have looked for a solution but still cannot find a what the problem is Any help would be greatly appreciated Terry

    Yeah, don’t worry. It’s a spammer. Delete the post, turn on Akismet and maybe cookies for comments.

    WordPress doesn’t have a built in comment email ability, so unless you ADDED a plugin to do that, they’re just being dumb spammers.

    And even if you DID add one? That identical copy is used on hundreds of sites. You’re cool.
