• I noticed that the last couple of months, I’m no longer being emailed about new comments. I notice it’s still enabled but I wonder if something’s changed on my box. I don’t remember ever doing anything to enable it. Is there something specific I need to do in the OS to enable this feature in addition to turning it on in WP? I’m running OS X.
    TIA –
    Matt

Fixed it myself. No mail server was running on the box. Enabling postfix did the trick…

I had the same problem, but in my case it was because I had switched logins. I usually post under a user name, but at some point I switched to logging in as the site admin. The site admin didn’t have an email address in his profile, so emails weren’t being sent. I corrected this and now the comment emails are working again.

I’m having the same problem now. I had about a week ago upgraded to WP 1.5.2 and didn’t have any problems with it. Then my webhost upgraded to PHP 4.4.1 and I noticed that I was no longer getting email notifications of new comments. The feature is enabled under options was from December 1, which is exactly the day my webhost upgraded PHP. is there any connection or am i just paranoid?

DIddo I had the same problem. But my host dosent allow the mail() function for some reason…

    erratum:

The feature is enabled under options was from December 1, which is exactly the day my webhost upgraded PHP.

    was supposed to have read

The feature is enabled under options. The last notification I received was on December 1, which was exactly the day my webhost upgraded to PHP.

have alerted my webhost, waiting on his reply.
