# Email notification odd characters

 * Hey guys,
 * This is probably a simple one but being new to WordPress I can’t seem to sort
   it out. When my WordPress site sends out Email notifications its displaying the
   blog name incorrectly. It should say Geek > Idiot (which is does on the site)
   but its saying Geek & g t ; Idiot in the Email (without the spaces). I understand
   that & g t ; is a way in which > is represented but is there a way I can fix 
   this?

 * Have you tried setting your blog name to include: & g t ;
    That is the correct
   way to do it to begin with.. Otherwise you are using what is a control character
   which is illegal in html.
