Email notification interval when API goes down

Hi! Can this be adjusted please to some reasonable timing. If api goes down no matter what reason for can we adjust the email notification interval? Today AC api service went down and email is flooded with notification with interval I do believe each minute… This is simply not normal. Once each 24 h or at worth each hour would be more than enough to inform people about the issue!
