 * Im trying to send mail notification using subscribe2 and is not working
 * I change to Mailpress and the same problem no mail goes out. Can anyone help.
   Im new using wordpress

 * Do you get emails from you blog when you get new comments or pings? I suspect
   you need to set up an email address for your site or talk to your hosting provider
   about configuring your site.

 * best advice is to activate the mailpress logs (Settings > MailPress > Logs) E_ALL
   level and keep 10 files just to see what happens when you are sending mails.
   
   If smtp is not working try with php_mail add-on or sendmail add-on
