Email not working missing image in log

I get an error with e-mail. Wheb i look into the log It seems to be because of a png file missing…

Hi @woerdhvd

It looks like Kudos Donations is trying to use the Kudos logo raw data as a file path. The only place that is normally used in an email is as the logo at the top.

Can you confirm a few things for me:
– Are you on the latest version of Kudos Donations (4.1.5)?
– When you send a test email does it send correctly without errors in the log?
– Does the test email appear correctly when you view it (with Kudos logo at the top)?
– Does this issue happen only on receipt emails?
– Are you using any custom Kudos filters, namely “kudos_receipt_attachment”

Hello Mike, thanks for the reply

Version is 4.1.5
the test e-mail isn’t working. Got the message with black background bottom left email isnt working.
That’s why i looked in the Log.
The log printed the same error (Could not acess file PNG) every time i try to send an email.
Receipt e-mail isn’t working when I make a donation (Mollie test mode – paid)
There is a pop-up Payment received, thanks for your donation
I did not use custom filters

Hi @woerdhvd,

Thanks for the information. It sounds like either a corrupt installation or something is interfering with Kudos. Could you first try re-installing from the store? If that doesn’t fix the issue then could you try temporarily disabling all plugins except Kudos, then do a test email. If that works then just re-enable each plugin testing in between until you find the one that is conflicting.

If none of the above work then I would be curious to gain temporary access to troubleshoot. You can email me directly at michael@iseard.media for arranging further troubleshooting.

Hello Mike, thanks i found the solution. It’s Fluent SMTP that causes the error. I deactivated it and use WP Mail smtp. Now it’s working fine.

I have one other question about the invoice. Thant’s included in the mail. I added the company adress who receive donations in settings. But it’s showing up as a ‘to’ adress. S it looks like the company has an invoice of someone who made an donation. It must be opposite in my opinion.

I am glad the emails are working again. Thanks for your feedback with regards to the invoice, I think you might be correct there. We are currently reviewing the invoice functionality and will be renaming it to “a “receipt” since no goods or services are actually exchanged with a donation and will probably also swap these two fields.

Hi @woerdhvd,

There is not yet a setting to disable email attachments however you can disable it using the kudos_receipt_attachment hook by adding this to your theme’s functions.php file:
```
add_action('kudos_receipt_attachment', function() {
	return []; // Return an empty array for attachments.
}, 20);
```
Once you have added the above code then the invoice pdf file will no longer be sent with the receipt email to your donors.
