Since the last update, the email notifications from my sites all have the same, unhelpful subject line – that the email limit has been reached. I know this is because I’ve previously set them all to only send a maximum of one email per hour – I monitor a lot of sites, and without this would get a monstrous number of emails. But previously, the first email would go out with a normal subject line (for things like blocked attacks, user logins, etc.) then would simply not get any more emails for another hour. Can you just revert your email alert behavior back to what it was previously? I can’t imagine I’m alone in finding your “improvement” to be worse than before the update.

Hi @aumw-jay, thanks for your feedback.

We will still pass customer feedback provided here to our team, but you’re more than welcome to reach out directly at feedback @ wordfence . com if you’d like to discuss specifics or privately go into more detail about your use-case so that it can be taken into consideration.

Wordfence Central was designed for agencies or individuals with many sites to manage. Without this, each Wordfence plugin instance acts on its own findings without knowledge of the other installations, so I can understand that you’d potentially see many arrive in your inbox. If you are able to manage your Wordfence installations through Wordfence Central, there is a YES/NO toggle to confirm whether you’d like each individual site to still send you alerts.

Wordfence Central is a service we offer for free so I feel comfortable recommending it in case it would genuinely help for you.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
