I'm using the "columns" option in my blog posts and the html for the columns layout shows in the emails sent to my subscribers. Here is what it looks like in the email: https://flic.kr/p/nyo6jA

How can I edit it so that the html for columns does not show in the email?

one of my blog posts where I use the columns layout: http://taiwanlovescoffee.com/coffee-class-taiwan-journal-week-1-small-batch-home-roasting/

    Hi taiwanlovescoffee!

Which email marketing service provider are you using?

    Cheers,

This is because the columns option is not using native HTML, it is actually generating a shortcode that only wordpress recognizes. I would suggest sending your subscribers a description of your post and a clickable link that takes them directly to your post on your site.

Wow, thank you so much DesignsByTrey! That makes sense.

So how do I edit the content of the email sent to my subscribers? I'm a relatively new blogger so I'm not really familiar with that yet. As of now, WordPress just automatically sends an email to my subscribers every time I post a blog entry.

If wordpress is automatically sending the email to your subscribers without a specific plugin, then it is going to continue to send the emails the way it is.

I would suggest using a newsletter plugin such as Newsletter

With this, you should be able to customize templates to your liking, however, I have not personally used it myself.
