    We are running a very basic ecommerce website. Up until 12/30, emails had been sent normally with no issues. After 12/30, New Order emails are not sent to the admin or the customer.

    I added an SMTP plugin to log the emails and New Order emails are not in the log. However, if we refund the order, those emails are received by both the admin and customer and they also show up in the log.

    I checked the updates we made on 12/30 and the only plugins that were updated were not related to woocommerce. I am at a loss as to why this isn’t working.

  • Probaly the problem is with your host. Use a transactional mail sender like sendgrid or mailgun, this resolve your issue.

    Thanks for the response @rlinsoliveria, but I am curious why it was working perfectly fine and now it stopped.

    And it also doesn’t make sense why the refund emails send, but not new order email notifications.

    Hi @ncfan2030

    There may have been a change with your host which meant these emails no longer sent. You might want to install a mail logging plugin to see if these emails should be sent but aren’t being received.

    Hey @dougaitken – I mentioned in the initial support request that I did add a plugin to log emails:

    New Order emails seem to not be triggered for some reason. I made no changes to the site, hosting, or anything else since 12/30, but New Order notifications are not sent to anyone.

    Resolved this issue, the PDF invoice plugin was not working so the emails wouldn’t send.
