  • I haven’t got my situation resolved yet either but I’m assuming it is to do with the way the hosting has their php set up:

    A true return value does not automatically mean that the user received the email successfully.
    For this function to work, the settings SMTP and smtp_port (default: 25) need to be set in your php.ini file.

    Perhaps you can access your php.ini – I’m on shared hosting so it’s more problematic.
